Web Design for Hexham Businesses

Professional Hexham Websites Tailored to You

TWDA - Award Winning Web Design

We’ve built a fair few websites in Hexham over the years — hotels on Priestpopple, holiday lets out toward the Tyne valley, shops that needed to sell online when everything changed. Long enough to know that a Hexham business has a different job to do online than one in a city.

You’re competing for people planning a weekend, not people scrolling at their desk. The Abbey, the market, the racecourse and the Wall bring visitors in — but only if they can find you, and only if what they find looks worth the drive.

It’s all part of 25 years of Northumberland web design — Hexham just happens to be where a good deal of it has ended up.

What we've built in Hexham

The County Hotel and the Beaumont Hotel both came to us wanting a site that looked as good as the building. The Coach and Horses needed something simpler and quicker to update. Dockleaf Cottage over in Corbridge needed booking that didn’t fight the guest. Different budgets, same idea: make it easy for someone to choose you.

Booking systems that actually behave

If you run a holiday let or a small hotel, the booking system is the website. We’ve integrated SuperControl, and written up how to do it properly, because the off-the-shelf approach tends to dump guests onto a page that looks nothing like the rest of your site.

There's funding for this

Hexham businesses sit inside the North of Tyne area, which means you may be eligible for a grant covering a good chunk of a new website through the North of Tyne Business Support Fund.

We’re a registered provider, so we can put the paperwork together with you rather than leaving you to work out what a “tender” is meant to look like.

What it costs

No mystery quotes and no vague “from £X” with add-ons waiting round the corner.

Every project starts from one of our published packages — see current pricing — so you know what you’re paying for before we start, not after. Everything’s +VAT, and we’ll talk you through it over a coffee before anything’s signed.

Yes — it’s a big part of what we do. The County Hotel, the Beaumont and the Coach and Horses are all ours, along with Dockleaf Cottage in Corbridge, Wooden Star Cottages and Hadrian’s Wall Campsite. We know how the season works round here, and that the real job of the site is to win the direct booking rather than send someone off to a listing site that takes a cut.

Yes. We’ve integrated SuperControl properly — availability and pricing pulled into pages that still look like your site, rather than dumping guests onto a generic booking page that looks nothing like the rest of it. We’ve also connected sites to third-party diaries and payment systems, and added new properties as clients have grown. Tell us what system you’re on and we’ll give you an honest answer on whether it’ll behave.

Quite possibly. Hexham is in Northumberland, which sits inside the North of Tyne area, so you clear the geographic test that rules a lot of businesses out. Beyond that it comes down to your size, sector and trading history, and the criteria do change. We’re a registered provider for NBSL’s North of Tyne Business Support Fund, so the quickest route is to ask us — we’ll check where the scheme currently stands and, if you qualify, put the paperwork together with you rather than leaving you to work out what a tender is meant to look like.

Two to three weeks is typical, from the first proper conversation to going live. A straight refresh can be quicker; a bigger shop with a lot of products takes longer. The honest answer is that what sets the pace is almost always content — photos, words, prices — rather than the build itself. If you have that ready we can move quickly. If you haven’t, we’ll help, and we’ll tell you up front what that does to the timeline.

No. Some clients hand us a rough idea and let us write it; others write it themselves and have us tidy it up. Either is fine. We do the photography and drone work in-house too, so you’re not left hunting for stock images of somebody else’s hotel. If you’d rather hand the whole lot over, say so at the start and we’ll price it in.
