Hotel Website Design
The Beaumont Hotel in Hexham entrusted the creation of their comprehensive brand identity to TWDA. This project included the hotel website design, photography, videography, print design, and ongoing website security & maintenance.
A cohesive brand was established through a logo design that drew inspiration from the hotel’s elegant Victorian architecture. Colour palettes and fonts reflect the hotel’s elegance and warmth, ensuring the logo is both visually appealing and resonates with the building and local culture.
The hotel website design placed the user experience at the forefront and featured high-quality photography with engaging and informative content, promoting the hotels amenities within the beautiful Hexham setting.
The video intro for the hotel was an exciting challenge. Using both drone and video sequences, it captures the essence of the Beaumont Hotel, further showcasing its serene environment and exceptional services.

Choosing the best colours for a hotel website involves considering the brand’s image, the emotions you want to evoke, and the target audience. Here are some colour suggestions based on common themes in the hospitality industry:
Blue: Often associated with calmness and reliability, blue is a popular choice for business and luxury hotels. It evokes a sense of tranquillity and professionalism.
Green: Symbolizing nature and tranquillity, green is ideal for eco-friendly hotels or resorts that promote wellness and relaxation.
Beige and Earth Tones: These colours can create a warm and welcoming atmosphere, making them great for boutique hotels or establishments aiming for a cosy, home-like feel.
Gray and Silver: These shades are often used to convey a modern and sophisticated look, suitable for urban and high-end hotels.
White: A classic choice that suggests cleanliness and simplicity, white can help make other design elements stand out and is often used in combination with other colours.
Gold and Darker Colours: These are perfect for luxury hotels, as they add a touch of elegance and richness.
Red and Orange: These vibrant colours can be used to energize and attract attention, but should be used sparingly to avoid overwhelming visitors.
When designing a hotel website, it’s crucial to ensure that the colour palette complements the photographs and content, aligns with the hotel’s branding, and appeals to the target demographic.
Yes, hotels greatly benefit from having their own websites for several key reasons:
Direct Bookings: A website allows customers to book directly with the hotel, reducing reliance on third-party booking sites and eliminating commission fees. This direct interaction also enhances customer service and management of bookings.
Brand Representation: A website serves as a digital storefront, showcasing the hotel’s features, amenities, and unique selling points. It’s an essential tool for branding and creating a strong first impression.
Increased Visibility: With proper search engine optimization (SEO), a hotel website can increase its visibility and attract more potential customers from search engines.
Marketing Control: Owning a website gives hotels control over their marketing and promotional strategies. They can directly communicate offers, promotions, and packages, which can be tailored to the needs and preferences of their target audience.
Customer Engagement: A website can offer a personalized experience, provide valuable information, and facilitate guest engagement through features like blogs, newsletters, and loyalty programs.
Analytics and Insights: Websites allow hotels to gather data on visitor behavior, preferences, and booking patterns, which can inform business strategies and improve services.
Overall, a website is a fundamental component of a hotel’s marketing and operational strategy, helping to drive sales, build brand awareness, and enhance guest experiences.
