I’m Terence Walsh, the founder behind TWDA Creative Services. With over 25 years of experience as a professional freelance designer, I’ve had the privilege of working with big names like Smith & Nephew and BP, as well as many smaller, local businesses right here in Hexham.

I’m Sarah, a proud North East native, having been brought up on a dairy farm on the Northumberland – County Durham border. I’m credited with bringing Terry to the North East where he set up and ran his business from Hexham for over 20 years. More recently, we decided to move back to the family farm where we are fortunate enough to work in the most beautiful and stunning location, living in a converted barn where I used to play and feed calves as a child!
My background is an academic one. On completion of my master’s degree, I joined the NHS as a community researcher and later moved to Newcastle University. Having worked on diverse projects from health and social care to business research, I developed a strong foundation in research management, analysis, data interpretation and academic writing.
As TWDA Creative Services expanded, I began helping with more of the management and organisation of the business. Ultimately, I made the decision to leave my academic post to dedicate more time to nurturing our family business. As the business has grown I’ve continued to use my skills to help with market research, data analysis, SEO copywriting and content creation. Terry describes me as the engine of the business, taking care of the everyday tasks that keep things moving.
We built TWDA on a simple idea: to provide exceptional design services with a personal, jargon-free approach. We believe the best work comes from collaboration.
