Mark your calendars for a full day of festivities, running from 9am to 6pm. The Bywell Show Field will transform into a vibrant hub of activity, celebrating the rich tapestry of Northumbrian life. With over 300 trade stands, exhilarating main arena events, and nationally renowned agricultural and equine sections, there’s truly something for everyone.
Expect to see impressive livestock competitions featuring the finest cattle, sheep, pigs, alpacas, and goats. Equestrian enthusiasts will be captivated by the skill and grace on display in numerous classes. Beyond the agricultural heart of the show, visitors can look forward to thrilling demonstrations, browse a wide array of local crafts, and indulge in the delicious offerings at the “Taste of the North” food marquee. Live music will provide a joyful soundtrack to the day, and there will be plenty of entertainment and hands-on activities to keep younger visitors amused.

For over 180 years, the Northumberland County Show has been a beloved tradition, bringing together the very best of our region’s agriculture and heritage. Held in the beautiful grounds of Bywell Hall near Stocksfield, it’s a fantastic day out for the whole family.
Expect to see everything from prize-winning livestock and impressive show jumping to incredible local food stalls, live entertainment, and unique crafts. It’s a day to celebrate our vibrant community and the countryside that defines it.
While the official lineup and list of judges are still being finalized, we can look forward to the return of many crowd-pleasing favourites:
Competitive Livestock Classes: See some of the finest cattle, sheep, and horses in the country.
Thrilling Main Arena Acts: Get ready for exciting displays! Previous years have featured everything from stunt bike teams to traditional pipe bands.

Ample free parking is a hallmark of the Northumberland County Show experience. Organisers provide over 10,000 free car parking spaces located in fields adjacent to the showground. These car parks are generally within an 800-metre (around a 10-minute) walk to one of the public entrances.
A comprehensive traffic management plan will be in place, with clear signposting from all major routes (A69, A68, A695) to guide you smoothly to the public car parks – just follow the blue ‘P’ signs.
Disabled parking is also well catered for, with spaces available for blue badge holders within the Members’ car park, offering closer proximity to the showground entrance. Please follow the specific blue badge signs on approach. As parking is on grass, sensible footwear is advised, especially if there has been recent rain.
Our four-legged friends are not forgotten! The Northumberland County Show Dog Show is always a hugely popular attraction. Affiliated with the Kennel Club, the show brings together hundreds of dogs of all shapes and sizes, competing across various breed and novelty classes. It’s a fantastic opportunity to see beautiful canines and chat with their proud owners.
Whether you’re looking to enter your own pooch or simply enjoy the spectacle, the dog show area is a hub of wagging tails and friendly competition. Look out for updates on specific classes and entry details on the official show website.
